From The President - April 2017
My term as president is coming to an end. It has been an
exciting year for the ACA. Our goal has been to make the ACA events more
accessible to our members. We have sponsored many successful events to include those
at Papasitos, Main Event and Top Golf. While I may no longer be president, I
will still be an active member. As I have often said, the ACA holds a special
place in my heart.
We are hard at work completing plans for our Annual Education Conference. We will be presenting Liability and Workers’ Compensation seminars with 6 hours of CEU’s to include 1 hour of ethics. We are holding the event at the Hilton Northeast on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. As a licensed adjuster, I have always looked forward to these seminars. This year’s seminar is shaping up to include exciting and timely issues. Please check our website for registration information. This year, the seminar will be free. We are assessing a $20 fee which will be refunded, if you do attend the event. We will offer lunch and happy hour afterwards. You will also want to visit with our vendors. I want to thank Greg Presmanes and Kim Jackson for their hard work in organizing and coordinating the seminars.
We will be holding our Golf & Tennis Outing this year at Rivermont Country Club. This has always been a successful event and this year will be no exception. Please check our newsletter for details and registration information. Constance Woods has always done an outstanding job of coordinating this event for us.
As president, I could not have gotten through this year without the support and hard work of our board members. I especially want to thank Fran Harper, Ann Wright, Esther Powers and Tammie Kater for their support and help. The ACA would be lost without your help.
