From The President - February 2017
Dear Fellow Atlanta Claims Association Members,
The year has gotten off to a great start. Atlanta has enjoyed a spring-like winter and has been spared the snow, ice & wind that have plagued other parts of the country. I, for one, have been grateful not to have had to adjust even one frozen pipe claim!
Our joint luncheon with CPCU was a huge success. I want to thank our sponsors who contributed to this event. The turnout was amazing and the food was non-stop and excellent. Derick Cooper’s discussion about product liability was enjoyable and timely. It was gratifying to see so many ACA members in attendance.
Save the date for our April Seminar on April 27, 2017 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast. The committee has been hard at work to make this event a great success. I want to thank Greg Presmanes, Kim Jackson & Fran Harper for their tireless efforts. We will be offering 6 hours of CEU credits to include one hour of ethics. The seminar is free. Speaking as an adjuster with a Georgia license, this is a great way to earn CEU’s. Luncheon is also available for a small charge. Please plan to stay for the cocktail party afterwards. Be on the lookout for our e-mail blast to register.
We will be installing our new slate of officers at this luncheon. I want to welcome Tammie Kater as our new president. I have worked with Tammie over the past years and I know that she will make a great president. She is dedicated to Atlanta Claims Association, a tireless worker & will probably put me to shame as a president.
Our golf and tennis event is on again this year. The Golf & Tennis Committee does a great job in planning this event. We are returning to Rivermont Golf Club, on May 9th. I am looking forward to this event, as always. Not that I play golf, but I do love to see everyone having fun. We will send out an e-mail blast for registration.
The Atlanta Claims Association is fortunate to have many loyal and generous sponsors. This past year we have hosted several successful events that could not have occurred without our sponsors. We will be planning new events for the next year. Please let us know what type of events you want to see and locations that would be convenient for you.
