The Atlanta Claims Association (ACA) awards three (3) scholarships annually in the amount of $1,500 each to deserving students enrolled in the study of Insurance and Risk Management at the undergraduate or graduate level at one of the Georgia universities listed below. The student is selected and the award is administered by the respective school's financial aid office, with oversight by the ACA Scholarship Committee.

The scholarships awarded are as follows:

  1. Edward S. Kelly Scholarship - named in honor of Past President Edward S. Kelly and is awarded annually to a student of Georgia State University.

  2. Andrew B. Robertson Scholarship - named in honor of Past President Andrew B. Robertson and is awarded annually to a student of The University of Georgia.

  3. Atlanta Claims Association President's Scholarship - awarded annually to a student of Georgia Southern University

The award recipients and their parents or guardians will be invited to the Annual Banquet of the Atlanta Claims Association held in April each year, and recognized as honored guests. Additionally, information on the award recipients will be published periodically in the newsletter, A Claimscene.

The Atlanta Claims Association also provides an annual scholarship in the amount of $2000.00 to KIDS' CHANCE, INC. KIDS' CHANCE, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation developed by the Workers' Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia, in association with insurers, employers, attorneys, labor, medical, and rehabilitation groups. The purpose of Kids' Chance, Inc. is to provide financial scholarships for children of permanently or catastrophically injured or deceased workers to complete their education.
