Volunteer to be on the ACA Board

Officers need to be General Members but Committee Chairs

and Committee members may include Associate Members.

President - The president appoints committee chairs and also 3 directors to serve one-year terms during his or her year as president. The president presides at all meetings and requires a report from each committee at the monthly board meetings.

 

1st Vice President - Acts in the absence of the president. The first vice president is responsible for planning ACA Membership luncheons. (Membership luncheons have not been occurring but could be Webinars, in person with a speaker, etc.) The first vice president also oversees any salaried employees of the ACA.

 

2nd Vice President - The Second Vice President oversees the ACA newsletter and also serves on the membership and finance committees.

 

Treasurer - The Treasurer oversees funds, is chairman of the finance committee, and is responsible for presenting a report at each board meeting. The treasurer may also delegate duties to the Assistant Treasurer and oversees the assistant treasurer.

 

Assistant Treasurer - Acts in the absence of the Treasurer. The Assistant Treasurer serves on the Annual Educational Conference committee and works closely with the chairman of that committee.

 

Secretary - Attends all meetings, keeps the meeting minutes and makes a written report to be given at board meetings and distributed to all board members. The Secretary sends flowers and cards when appropriate.

 

Assistant Secretary - Acts for the Secretary in his or her absence. Serves as the chair of the Annual Educational Conference and is responsible for the venue, luncheon, advanced publicity, door prizes etc.
